I work with individuals, couples, families, teenagers and college students – people from all walks of life. When I’m with you I’m fully present and listen deeply for what is called for in the moment, offering you a light hearted and compassionate presence. My ideal client is open to a nontraditional body-centered holistic approach. Body centered therapy provides a safe container you can relax into and feel held. Your body lets you know when you are out of tune. It might be a sore neck, a fast heartbeat, or a feeling of confusion. I will point you towards your truth, the truth that is reflected through the signals your body sends, so you can create the life you long for. I will invite you to think outside of the box and help you to see that you have everything you need. Together we will delve into your issues so you can gain insight, growth and transformation.
I am an innovative and highly skilled therapist with a blend of clinical, teaching, human services, health and healing arts experience. I’ve been successful in treating diverse client populations in individual and group settings, and have an in-depth knowledge of traditional and alternative therapeutic modalities and interventions.
Offerings:
Marriage and family therapy: I help couples and individuals build trust, intimacy and compassion which enhances their relationships and brings more harmony and love into their lives. My solution-focused/common sense-oriented therapeutic model encourages connection, flexibility and creativity. Individual and couples sessions are available.
Recovery counseling: Using the Cognitive Behavioral Therapeutic approach, I support clients and their families in building compassionate communication skills and healthy lifestyle habits. This can include better sleep habits, nutrition, exercise, mindfulness and offerings in the community to help you stay sober. In our work together I will help you establish a strong foundation for your recovery. Individual and group sessions are available.
Movement for Recovery: These restorative yoga-inspired sessions are designed for participants to connect with their breath and their bodies. By moving into stillness you can begin to slow down enough to notice your physical form and quiet your thoughts. I teach you how to pay attention to the wisdom your body holds and how to build strength, flexibility and vitality. Individual and group sessions are available.
Coaching: I provide sessions via Zoom or FaceTime to clients who are outside of California. My coaching offers you emotional support and practical solutions, pointing you towards self-reflection and action.
Neurofeedback: This can be an adjunct to therapy, and can be useful when you are having mood and learning disorders.
Retreats: I host annual international retreats which are designed for you to relax and have fun. Retreats include morning yoga, swimming in the sea, hiking, cooking classes specific to the region, excursions and an evening salon for meaningful conversations. Retreat dates to be announced for 2021.
